Encore beaucoup de difficultés à faire ce que je devrais faire, mais j'aI fait quelques pas en vue de sortir de ce trou où je me suis enlisé..bien sûr artistiquement parlant, parlerai pas du reste....:). Je me suis réinscrit à une autre session de dessin de modèles, d'ailleurs je vais afficher quelques photos des dernières séances, il y a trop longtemps que je ne l'ai fait....viens aussi de terminer un autre tableau, celui de Paulina; et  trouvé un directeur de galerie bien sympa qui accepte de montrer tous mes tableaux, pastels et dessins....Moi....les négociations ont été assez faciles....de plus comme l'appartement a grandement besoin d'un grand et profond ménage, je ne peux trouver de meilleur incitatif pour m'y mettre, que de faire cette exposition , si par hasard vous passez par Montréal, vous pouvez me demander les détails pour s'y rendre, les 27 et 28 avril prochain, et si vous passez plus tard, vous pouvez toujours me contacter, les tableaux resteront accrochés jusqu'à la prochaine expo...dans quelques mois ou années...:), mon courriel jmrart3@gmail.com

Still can't really get going these days, but did took a few steps to try to pull out of this hole, artistictly speaking...., so to get moving, I did took another life model drawing sesson this spring, I guess it would be time also to show some of the latest works of these life model drawing session, been to long I did that...second I finished another painting, Paulina, and most important, I did find a very comprehensive art gallery director who's willing to show my entire collection of works!....negociations went very well, since that director is ME...:D. An exhibition of my things at home is a good way to shake up things as well, and my appartment do need a big, very big clean up, an exhibition is a very good incentive to de that...do if by any chance you're in the Montreal area on april 27 and 28, write to me to get the details; and by the way if you come but later, since the painting will stay put on the walls until the next one, in a few months, or years , it is always possible to take arrangment for a visit...:), email me at jmrart3@gmail.com

Toujours bien au ralenti...mais là, au ralenti comme le printemps qui tarde à se montrer par ici...encore une fois la fin-de-semaine a passé en coup-de-vent, dans les deux sens du mot, enfin trouvé un peu de temps pour peindre, Paulina, est-il fini ce tableau, probablement...mais je ne prends jamais cette décision sans quelques heures ou jours de recul....:)

Still quite or almost idle painting wise....slow getting in like the spring here this year, supposed to arrive, but it is making itself wanted....and another week-end that went just like that, like a brief wind, which by the way is the case here today...but finally manage to work a bit on this oil painting, Paulina, ready to be signed, probably, but as you may know, I do not tend to make that decision just walking off working on it, a few hours of looking back, maybe days will go before I decide if it is finished or just another version...:)

Bon, semble que je devrai recommencer à économiser un peu d'argent....sais pas combien de temps on a avant la prochaine fin du monde, mais ce sera peut-être quelques années encore...probablement que le Soleil, la Terre et le centre de la galaxie seront encore alignés au moins quelques jours ou années, donc on sait pas trop, sans compter une possible inversion des poles, ou encore le super volcan de Yellowstone, ou un astéroïde, ou encore des extra-terrestres qui seraient pas gentils, viendraient nous remettre cela d'actualité cette fin du monde; en fait on est bien capable de la faire nous-même cette  fin du monde, donc voilà, je dois recommencer à faire attention, ne pas trop boire de fin du monde....bonne bière québécoise....qui immunise contre la fin-du-monde, quel soit Maya, Égyptienne, Nostramadusrienne ou autres....

Et tant qu'à faire, vais recommencer à  peindre, ce que je faisais encore, mais à un rythme moindre, et à m'occuper de mes site....que j'ai négligé, j'étais trop occupé à organiser mon voyage de retour vers ma planète natale....au cas où....mais finalement vais rester encore quelques années, je crois....

Well seems that finally, I do have to start again worrying about making enough money for my retirement...in many, many years from now, I dont know yet when there is another scheduled end of the world....I guess the dreadful aligment of our planet, the Sun and the center of the Milky Way will last quite a bit, if it does happen at every 26,000 years, we will probably be in the vinicity for a few days at least....or maybe it will be an inversion of the poles, or a big asteroid, or a super volcano lile Yellowstone who would blow up, or maybe a bunch of renegade extraterrestrials, like those no so kind peoples featured on Independance Day...so for now, at least, I will have to start taking carre of me, my painting and of course my sites....which I do have neglected, I was too busy preparing my return trip to my native planet....but it will have to wait a few years more or less, depending....

So may as well do more paintings and more important, start again showing them on my sites....

Temps de passer à autre chose, en fait, déjà retravaillé ce tableau de Paulina Porizkova, une huile, pour faire changement de l'acrylique...donc voici deux versions, les photos datent de quelques jours, je suis encore en train de travailler sur ce tableau, une autre version prochainement....

Time to move to another painting, an oil this time, already in progress, Paulina Porizkova, these two photos, taken a few days ago, show the progress, or sometimes regress...but this time it is going fine, still lot of work needed, I'm already working on it again, a new version is coming soon....

Décidé de continuer un peu le tableau de Shania, pas progressé autant que je ne l'aurais voulu, probablement qu'une palette fraîche aurait été mieux, même les palettes qui gardent l'acrylique pendant des heures, voir des jours...ont leur limite...:) aussi quelque chose qui n'a rien à voir avec les matériaux, un regard neuf, reposé, trop longtemps à travailler une toile on ne la voit plus...donc surtout tenté de dessiner correctement son bras gauche, qui 'collait' pas...non ce n'est pas la Vénus de Milot, quoique lui cacher un bras aurait éliminé du même coup mon problème...donc ce sera pour la prochaine fois, donc voici maintenant Paulina..., avant la photo de la toile de Shania.

Kept on working on Shania's painting, but I think my 'stay wet palet' was quickly becoming dry or used or time to change, but mainly after so many hours on this painting, what is more needed than anything else is a fresh look, so corrected a bit her left arm, it wasn't working right, I thought of imitating Milot with his Venus, but decided to move to another, and it will be for the next time, so next is Paulina...but before, here's Shania's last version....

 je ne peux vraiment l'exprimer autrement, Semble que lorsque je passe d'un médium à l'autre, souvent de belles choses se produisent, pour le moment pas ajouté beaucoup de détails, pas sûr que j'en ferai un tableau style 'portrait', plutôt continué à travailler 'plus en mouvement', très 'lousse' (loosely j'imagine) comme on dit ici au Québec , en travaillant les textures et en essayant de conserver le plus possible le fond bleu de la toile,  ...la photo.

As it is often the case, when I do switch from one medium to another, I do seem to work more loosely, and this is the case with this painting, so far I refraining myself of doing to much of a 'portrait' style painting, going more for movement, texture and trying using or keeping as much of the blue background...the photo.

Voilà quelques jours, encore retravaillé la toile de Paulina, je suis aussi en train de retravailler un pastel, qui viendra dans les prochains jours...donc même si les articles ne sont pas aussi 'ponctuels' que je le voudrais, je 'travaille' lire peindre ou dessiner...semble que cette pause un peu longue, a eu un certain effet, il me semble que je travaille un peu plus 'librement', difficile à expliquer, et pas sûr que cela se voit comme cela...les prochaines semaines montreront si c'est vrai ou seulement une vague impression...:)

A few days ago already, I reworked Paulina's painting, for now it is resting...or drying, not finished, and for the last few days I'm working on a pastel in progress, close to be finished, probably over the week-end, hopefully by tomorrow...

Qui attendait sagement son tour...elle aussi passe de l'acrylique à l'huile, je sentais que j'avais besoin de la subtilité de l'huile pour continuer ce tableau, en espérant qu'il continuera sur sa bonne lancée....la version précédente et la nouvelle....

Who was waiting quietly for getting into the light, this one also, went from acrylic to oil...feel I did need the softness that I can achieve more easily with oil paints rather than with acrylics....so the previous version and the new one....
