Un tableau retravaillé voilà déjà quelques semaines
a painting reworked a few weeks ago already

voilà quelques jours...une nouvelle version...
a few days ago, a new version
and the slideshow / Et le diaporama
Another painting coming back to the light after a long time...this model wearing a fur hat, and I am having a few problems getting it right, so here' s the latest version...
Le diaporama et la photo du modèle...The slideshow and this model picture
Passé une bonne partie des dernières heures sur ce tableau à faire en sorte que le chapeau du modèle ne semble être un gâteau qu'elle porterait, pas trop fièrement je crois, finalement il semble prendre forme, ainsi que son visage et tout le reste, donc le verdict est que jusqu'à date...c'est une séance assez bonne, je crois...la photo (438-21) Spent the last few hours working on this painting, trying to make sure that my beautiful model doesn't seem to be wearing a nice fur hat, and not a mispainted cake, and I think it is starting to look much more like a fur hat than a cake, and as a bonus, her face, hair, coat and almost everything else start to felt in place, so I guess I could say it is so far a rather good session...so far, I believe it is quite nice.... Et comme d'habitude, le diaporama et la photo du modèle, et son chapeau de fourrure, qui n'a pas l'air d'un gâteau... and as usual the slideshow and this model's picture, wearing a hat and not a cake on her head... Date : 2014-11-08, captain log.. Well it is not Star Trek, just a post on a painting reworked, at the same time it is a journal, but back to painting, this one in particular a model wearing boots, so far nothing very unusual...the hat a bit more unusual, did start working on this painting very slowly, almost with no energy, and then it went, I don't know from what animal is made her fur hat, maybe it is even synthetic, and if it is from an animal, seems like some of its wildness was transferred to my brush strokes tonight, and if it is synthetic, I guess the wildness came from me, unless there would be such thing as a synthetic wildness...(438-19) Oui je sais hors saison....on est en juillet...donc oui encore un peu plus de travail sur ce tableau...rien de bien spécial à ajouter, donc la dernière version, le diaporama et encore la photo du modèle.....j'ai presque hâte à l'hiver....:) Yes I know, I am way out of sync, season wise...it is July, so not quite the time for boots and fur hat, but my paintings are kind of independent of the time of the year, or season, so the latest version, the slideshow and may as well show again this wintery model...I can almost say that I am looking forward to winter...ok not really but almost...:) Non elle n'est pas sur un iceberg, j'aurais dû faire un montage photo...ce sera peut-être pour un prochain projet, donc un modèle, c'est plus chaleureux qu'une montagne de glace, mais les deux ont leur charme....à leur façon, donc la dernière version, en fait il y en a une autre, retravaillé un peu hier soir, pas beaucoup, parfois des journées difficiles, une collègue mise au chômage, un froid avec une personne qu'on, que j'aime bien, pas l'être aimé mais une femme pour qui j'ai une grande affection, et quelques autres affaires font que la tête ne suit pas les pinceaux, qui eux ne prennent pas leur élan, retenu par la tête qui va ailleurs...enfin.... No she does not stand on an iceberg, hum I should have used photoshop for that, maybe for a future project....she looks certainly hotter than an iceberg, but both do have their way of showing beauty...in their own way. So the latest version, hum not true, I did paint a bit yesterday, but not much, sometimes your day come to interfere with your night, a collegue was laid off yesterday, a bit of a chill too with a woman I like very much, not a lover but somebody I do consider a good and close friend, and many other little things made that my brushes were not allowed, by the wandering thoughts..., to go as far as they would have like to go...well, that's it.... I don't know, sometimes it is better I think to sit and write a draft for a post instead of struggling with a painting, especially if that on is going well so far, and you don't want to get into trouble, in this case, it is her fur hat, that my model is wearing,of course I should say more exactly that this photo model's is wearing, and now it does look more like a cake posed on her head, instead of a hat, and of top of that it was my birthday a few days ago, did not celebrate until yesterday, so not a good thing when you're a bit drunk to try to fix things on a painting...that I've learned over the years...:), so I guess it would be for another time for me to transform this apparently cake hat into a fur hat that goes well with this charming model... A beautiful model, as usual, but I found something particularly appealing in this one, and to prevent a down the line change, why not going right away for oil, anyway most of the time I do change from acrylic to oil. and for this one I did revert, actually for the last few ones to an old, more straightforward way, turpentine and linseed oil, instead of a quick drying medium, anyway I like the way that the undried paint mix with the fresh one, so may as well use that property, maybe it is a more yellowing mixture as years pass by, but it doesn't matter to me, my paintings are always rich in yellow and oranges, so I guess it won't matter, and besides I am applying a coat of retouch varnish between each session. so I guess it should take care of that problem if it is happening....many years down the road...let's say I worry about many other things before that one...so here's the latest version, dating from yesterday monday night... Sometimes, actually most of the time, I do not have a clue how to title my paintings, and more so for a post title, actually It is never quite easy for me to write something to go along with the pics, occasionally I come up with stories, other times like today it comes from nowhere, faint souvenirs...like the serie The Avengers, in french it was translated as Chapeau melon et bottes de cuir (Melon? hat and leather boots...), maybe because she wear a hat, not a 'melon' one..but more a fur hat, and she's wearing leather boots, she doesn't have a partner like John Steed (Patrick Macnee) and she doesn't remember me at all Emma Peel (Diana Rigg), I check on the net to verify the name of Patrick Macnee, I wasn't sure, I did not have to check for Diana Rigg, even if I was quite young at that time, she had a way and look to impress the little boy I was then, maybe I'm still a little boy deep inside me..so maybe without knowing it Ms Rigg was to shape my art up to this day...:), so here's the latest version, actually on wedesday march 12 of this model, her fur hat and her leather boots... Et là j'ai assez de versions maintenant de ce tableau pour présenter un diaporama And now I think I have enough slides to mount a slideshow...
and why not showing this model's pic who has inspired this latest painting, she not Diana Rigg, but both are quite beautiful... |
