Non pas un chargement de fichiers ou autres choses reliées à l'informatique mais plutôt à Resolute Bay, la première fois que j'y mettais les pieds, en mai 1983, enfin les grosses bottes arctiques fournies par mon employeur du temps, Environnement Canada...je n'avais jamais vu un avion Hercules de près, cet avion que l'on chargeait de matériel juste au moment où je passais, peut transporter 20,000 kg de matériel à son rayon d'action maximal, environ 3,500 km ou 2,000 milles, si je ne me trompes, c'est le cheval de trait du Nord, pour les projets de construction sur des sites isolés, c'était souvent la seule solution disponible, bien sûr dans certains cas où la planification nous le permettait, le bateau de ravitaillement qui faisait la tournée des villages et installations arctiques une fois par année était un choix moins coûteux, mais le bateau ne pouvait atteindre tous les sites sur lesquels on devait travailler, donc Hercules, l'avion, par le personnage mythique ou film, nous venait en aide...:)

No, not something related to computers, but it was my first time in Resolute Bay airport, May 1983, and there in front of me they are loading  an Hercules C-130 transport plane, I think, if I am not mistaken that this plane can carry up to 45,000 pounds or around 20,000 kilos of payload at maximum range, about 2,000 miles or 3,500 km. It is the work horse of the north, of course when it was possible we would use a boat, that was going up there once a year to bring supplies to the northern villages or other installations, but sometimes there was no other way than to fly our construction material on one of these, so at times Hercules,  not the mythological being, or the movie, but the plane would be our way to go...:)
