Un début...a beginning

Après un 'this is the end' 'it's only a beginning', des Doors à Chicago...enfin laissons la vieille....musique pour ce nouveau tableau, une photo un peu étrange de Cindy Crawford, deux poses...un peu étranges, je me répète....oui je le sais...me disait que cette photo ne convenait pas à un style portrait, et comme j'aime tout de même les deux poses, j'ai décidé de faire ce tableau à l'acrylique et en appuyant plus sur les poses que d'en faire un tableau trop réaliste...

commencé le dessin en appliquant des variantes de gesso noir et blanc,...donc gris....et un peu de couleur d'une palette qui finissait....dessinant les doubles Cindy..qui sur la photo originale, semblent plutôt effrayé, ou en colère...sais pas dans quelles circonstances ont été prises ces photos....l'histoire ne le dit pas....

Sais pas pourquoi, lorsque je travaille à l'acrylique, il y a une façon de travailler différente qui ressort, comme lorsque je prenais des ateliers de modèle vivants, plus spontané qu'à l'huile....pas meilleur ou moins bon, seulement différent j'imagine...

After 'this is the end' it is a beginning or 'it's only a beginning' from the doors to Chicago...ok leave the old music for the painting, started from a photo of Cindy Crawford, in fact Cindy twice....the photo is a bit strange, she or they seem either scared or angry, I don't know in which cirsconstances that picture was taken, but I did not think it will make a beautiful portrait....so I went for an acrylic and taking a more loose approch, painting more the shapes than the models...even started with black and white gesso..or shades of grey and a bit of leftover colors....a few pics to show what it did look like....

I can't quite figure out why but seems that when I'm working in acrylic, my painting is a bit more spontaneous than in oil, not better or worse, just different, more like my style when I was taking life models workshop, quick poses so you don't have the luxury to work to much in details...
