Église, rénovations, cabaret, cirque….Church, renovations, cabaret, circus

​Curieux amalgame que ces clichés, des églises et des rénovations, ce n’est pas rare dans le centre ville de Montréal, cette église, anglicane ou protestante, je ne suis pas un expert en dénomination de religion protestante ou catholique, les anglais sont protestants, les canadiens français anciennement et irlandais sont catholiques pour la plupart, je n’en sais pas beaucoup plus, quant à l’église, elle est sur la rue Sainte-Catherine ouest entre les rues Mackay et Bishop, Google Map, outil indispensable…me dit que c’est le ‘Calvary Chapel Montreal Regeneration’ une église anglicane, tout à côté, Le Monastère qui semble abriter un bistro et présentation de numéro de cirque, je présume que c’est une évolution normale, les institutions changent de vocation…moi c’est plutôt l’occasion d’essayer de retrouver mes religions…. photographie, peinture et marche…cette dernière est la plus difficile des trois à s’y remettre…:)
Bien sûr les religions catholiques et protestantes ne sont maintenant plus les seules à Montréal, et ce depuis plusieurs années, Montréal par rapport au reste du Québec a toujours été un ‘melting pot’, ce qui lui donne son cachet.
Kind of a bizarre set of themes here, Church, renovation, omnipresent in Montreal, a part of the church that is now the Monastère, apparently a bistro offering circus show, according to Google Map, this is the ‘Calvary Chapel Montreal Regeneration’, Sainte-Catherine street west, between Bishop and Mackay, an Anglican church, I am not quite familiar with the different branches of the protestant church, as opposed to the Catholic church, mainly for french canadian and irish peoples who settled in Montreal in the 1840 and 50s, of course now Montreal is much more diverse in languages, cultures and religions, for me those pics are a small attempt to get back to my religions…photography, painting and walking, the latter being for the moment the difficult one to get back to…
